ATLANTA, April 28, 2009—The first iPhone application in orthodontics—topsEcho™—will be previewed at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session, May 1-5 in Boston.
topsEcho provides up-to-the-minute access to the topsOrtho™ practice management system for patient information and images, schedules, referrals, treatment notes and more.
The application requires no uploading and no syncing. Just touch the app on your iPhone and you’re instantly—and wirelessly—connected to real-time information.
tops Software Founder and CEO Dr. Mark Sanchez, an avid iPhone enthusiast since it was introduced in 2007, personally directed the development of topsEcho.
“With my laptop, I can easily connect to topsOrtho, but sometimes I need to connect from anywhere,” he said. “With the iPhone in my pocket, it’s just a couple of touches to the screen and I’m there.”
topsEcho also offers the same functionality through the iPod touch, which connects to topsOrtho via WiFi, rather than a cell network.
Previews and hands-on demos will be available to doctors and staff at the tops exhibit booth at the AAO. Live demos will also be given by Sanchez.
