Can I use Macs and PCs on the same network?

Absolutely. Computers of all types network well together. Just as any computer can get on the Internet, any computer can network within your office.

Will I be able to open my existing Word files?

Certainly. All major software programs like MS Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc., have versions that run on Macs. In fact, most of them appeared first on the Mac.

How do I transfer my current documents and files to the Mac?

Moving your existing information is super easy. You can do it yourself, or sign up for Apple’s One-to-One program, and an Apple Genius will transfer your PC files for you. Sweet!

Can I get pictures from my camera into my Mac?

Yes. All cameras work with Macs and tops programs.

I don’t know anything about UNIX. Will I have to learn a lot?

No. While you get the amazing power of UNIX, it’s all tucked away.

I’ve only used Windows. Will I be lost?

Like any change, moving from a PC to a Mac can be intimidating, but it just takes time. All the skills you’ve developed for working with computers will work for you still.
